My client are a rapidly growing, Lancashire-based manufacturing company with a turnover of 40 million and a reputation for quality, innovation, and customer focus. As they prepare for their next phase of growth-including international expansion-we are seeking a highly experienced Finance Director to join their Senior Management Team and play a pivotal role in shaping our strategic direction.

About the Role

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you'll take full ownership of their finance function, bringing both strategic oversight and hands-on leadership. This is a key appointment in the business-your insights and guidance will help steer financial strategy, drive profitability, and ensure we are structurally ready for the exciting journey ahead.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and develop the finance team of 6, overseeing all financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance.
Act as a strategic business partner to the MD and Board, contributing to key decisions and business planning.
Drive financial planning and analysis to support operational and commercial goals.
Ensure robust financial controls, risk management, and compliance across the business.
Support international growth strategy, including potential European market entry and investment analysis.

What We're Looking For

Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
Proven experience in a Finance Director (or equivalent senior finance) role-ideally within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Strong commercial acumen and the ability to translate financial insight into business strategy.
Experience of managing and mentoring high-performing teams.
Hands-on, proactive approach, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving business.
Experience with international expansion or multi-site operations would be advantageous.
